CTO For Hire was engaged as an advisor, architect and API designer to help develop a new API product for partners and customers. The established HRTech business had built out the commercial business case for an API-first product and was ready to engage customers across Australia and New Zealand.

In close partnership with a 3rd party delivery agency, CTO For Hire:

- Facilitated product discovery workshops to develop a domain model for the v2 platform
- Provided design leadership for RESTful APIs
- Led architectural decisions regarding security and identity management

Off the back of a successful MVP, the business extended their engagement with the delivery agency to expand the product backlog, add new features, and enhance the long-term scalability of the API.

As a result of the expanded API development, the business also substantially de-risked several key dependencies on legacy and unscalable technology.
